Dr. Grant has created an instruction dense book that would be beneficial for all mental health therapists and other professionals working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism. Most other well known treatments for Autism involve strategies that are really not suited for an outpatient therapist who generally sees the client one hour per week. A wonderful resource for anyone looking for assessment tools and interventions for working with children on the autism spectrum as well as a variety of other developmental disabilities.
Dr. Grant has created a great resource. This book and the autplay therapy approach is very comprehensive and useful in a variety of settings.
The Autplay Therapy Handbook is an amazing resource for experienced and novice professionals working with individuals with autism. It's not filled with a lot of extra "stuff" like a lot of other reads. It gets straight to the point of helping kiddos.

Dr. Robert Grant has created a wonderful comprehensive and informational treatment guide for practitioners and parents alike. This book is truly a step by step guide that will easily assist any practitioner in the assessment and treatment of individuals with Autism and Developmental Disorders. I recommend this book whole heartedly. It is an easy read and contains many useful assessment and treatment tools.
This is an excellent resource for therapeutic techniques used with individuals on the autism spectrum. The exercises can also be effectively used with developmentally delayed individuals, those with sensory processing disorders, behavior problems, and many other diagnoses. These fun and engaging exercises are outlined in an easy to find and easy to read format, and can be easily integrated into a treatment plan. I will be utilizing this book often in my MFT practice.
