Reluctant celebutante Bee had everything that second tier fame could offer—and hated every bit of it. In search of an identity of her own, not some media creation, she takes off from LA with nothing. Bee discovers that one week can change everything. She may even have a chance at love. But is it real or just another illusion

This was an interesting Tween story. But I'm not sure I'd like my daughter to read this and get any ideas about traveling successfully without a plan, and hooking up with a guy she'd just met. Bee is a very interesting character - Hollywood meets Miss Goody Two Shoes in a sense. It's a very quick read because the book is short, and takes place in a week.I wish the characters had been more fleshed out, especially the dad, who seemed to love his daughter. I'd like to know how he came to be the way he was about raising his daughter. More information was written in about the "Goth Geek" than the main character.

One Week Nikki Van De Car 9781935961581 Books Reviews
This was a cursory book. More of a tween read but I read the, whole book and enjoyed it. I would recommend it cute quick read
This was a very quick read. I had a hard time believing that they 'loved' each other so quickly. It could have used more in character development. But,was still a sweet, fast read.
this was another quick read for me. The story was fairly good but somewhat predictable. I would probably read other stories by this author.
A coming of age story. The 'not quite' adult figuring out who she is by running away. Quirky characters met along the way. A quick read with a feel good ending.
The premise of the book is unlikely, but fun to imagine!!! Two kids travelling across the country on a train... one exceptionally priviledged and un-worldly, the other practical and down to earth. Good read.
It was a good story but I felt like there were gaps in between the story. I would of love for them to know each other better....I personally think I would of been extremely mad at my kid if he/she ran away and slept with someone they knew for only five days...that's nuts. Doesn't matter how deep conversations are that send the wrong message to teens.
The author puts into words the way a young 17. Year-old feels about life. It's a surprising, refreshing perspective. Well developed characters on top of insightful understanding of characters makes this book a wonderful read. Wish I could meet Jesse and Bee!
